Over 1,000 Pints of Pure Blue Gold!
If you’ve stopped by the Share Shed lately, you might have noticed things looking a little extra... blue!
Over the last 90 days, we’ve brought over 1,000 pints of fresh blueberries (1,068 to be exact!) straight to our neighbors here in Lincoln County. These sweet gems come directly from our friends Sarah and Jim over at Burke Hill Farm—a wonderful 200-acre organic blueberry farm nestled in Cherryfield, Maine.
Every single pint stocked daily in the Share Shed is made possible through our LOOP program—our community-funded food access system. LOOP ensures two big things happen at once:
Everyone in our community gets access to fresh, healthy, locally grown food.
The incredible farmers who wake up early to grow and harvest it get paid fairly and supported.
