Autumn at The Commons

As leaves turn vibrant shades of amber and gold across Wiscasset, autumn is in full swing at the farm! The air is crisp, the harvest is bountiful, and there is a warm, familiar hum across the land as we settle into one of our favorite seasons of the year.

Here is a glimpse at what’s bringing us warmth and joy this fall:

• Harvest Season in Full Swing: Our gardens and fields and farm store shelves are plentiful! From rich, nourishing root vegetables to microgreens, our late-harvest crops are making their way straight from the soil to community tables.

• Grazing Under Autumn Skies: Our four-legged pasture companions are soaking up these cooler days, grazing contentedly against the backdrop of changing foliage.

• Gathering Around the Table: Lately we have been reminded of the power of community. We have welcomed new partners to The Commons and encourage folks who are interested in teaming up to contact us.

As the days grow a little shorter, our gratitude only grows bigger. Pull up a chair, cozy up, and join us in celebrating the beauty and abundance of fall in Maine!
